Advent/Christmas Concert

Come celebrate Advent and Christmas, presented by the combined voices of St. Francis Choirs and Brass Ensemble and members of the neighboring churches.

Ash Wednesday

Fish Fry is an annual event sponsored by the Christian Mothers & Ladies Guild.

Baby Jesus Birthday Party

Bingo is held every Tuesday night (except during holy week or if a holy day or Holiday falls on Tuesday). It is a paper bingo. Early Birds begin at 7:15, regular games at 7:30. Special Games, Door Prizes, Jackpot, and Magic Number. Contact Irene Holmes 724-348-5103.

Blessing of Animals

The traditional ‘Blessing of Animals’ takes place the 1st Sunday in October at 2:00 p.m. Bring your pets for this special blessing.

Blood Drive

Held approximately three times a year. Affords the church community an opportunity to help people and benefits all those in need of blood during surgery and other emergencies. Contact Kathy Pitzer 724-348-5361.

St. Francis of Assisi Parish sponsors a healing Mass celebrated by the ‘Fraternity of Priests.’ Watch the bulletin for date.

Interfaith Thanksgiving Dinner

Interfaith Activity on Thanksgiving Day, 12 noon in Finley Hall. They Provide food and fellowship to those who are alone or otherwise would not have a hot meal on Thanksgiving Day. Also, they provide the same to those who want to be a part of a larger family.

Journey to Jerusalem

Bi-annually, at present, to dramatize through role play the Easter Triduum, so as to bring to life the profound experience of the passion of Christ. To make the Apostles and women disciples of the Bible come alive for the audience as they explore who they were, the way they might have followed Jesus, what change Jesus made in their lives, and how the Apostles and Disciples weren’t so different from the audience. Lunch With Santa

Every December the younger children of our parish enjoy a lunch and visit from Santa. Watch the bulletin for dates and details.

Parish Picnic

Annual event every third Sunday of August. The Parish Picnic provides social participation and interaction of parish and local community. Enjoy lamb & beef rounds on the spit, corn on the cob, Chinese auction, bingo, children’s games & much, much more. As a parish effort, many volunteers are needed. Watch the bulletin for details in July.


Our pavilion, on the parish grounds (behind Finley Hall), is available to parishioners for events such as picnic, parties, family reunions, etc. Contact the parish office to schedule your event. A donation will be accepted.

Vacation Bible School

Every summer, our Religious Education Program hosts a week-long children’s Vacation Bible School. Volunteers are always welcome. Schedule and additional information is published in the Weekly Bulletin and on this site in advance of the event.
